About the Irish Pagan School

Irish tradition, taught by people who live it, not sold by strangers

The Irish Pagan School was co founded in 2017 by two native Irish educators and practitioners, Lora O’Brien MA (Draoi, historian, author, and Priest of the Mórrígan) and Jon O’Sullivan (An Scéalaí Beag, storyteller, author, and Priest of the Dagda).

We teach Irish spiritual tradition the way it’s genuinely lived here, by the people who live it, for seekers right around the world.

We don’t teach so you can turn around and resell Irish tradition for profit or for social credit. We teach so you can deepen your own spiritual life, step into a grounded practitioner identity, and build right relationship with the Gods, the ancestors, the land, and the Othercrowd of Ireland.

Who We Are

We’re Irish, we live right here in Ireland (surrounded at various times by 3 grown kids, 4 grandkids, and 4 rescued cats), and we practise what we teach every single day. Our work grows out of the experiences of native Irish voices, academic scholarship including Lora’s MA in Irish Regional History, decades of professional heritage work at sacred sites such as Cruachán (Rathcroghan) and Tara, and our own lived devotional relationships with the Irish Gods, Guides, Guardians, and sacred land.

We’re Priests, authors, guides, and community builders, and we’ve given our working lives to preserving and passing forward the living tradition of this island. We hold it not as a museum piece but as a breathing practice rooted in place and in continuity.
